We are a small family cattery in Colorado. We began showing showing Norwegian Forest Cats in 2006. I along with my son Marshall actively show both CFA and TICA.
As a family of five with two young children it was important to find a breed that would fit our lifestyle. Our Cattery name is the first three initials of my two youngest sons' middle name. Skog is Norwegian for forest. So welcome to our family forest. We also show with my mother Rickats Cattery and my sister Sindorsen Cattery.
The Norwegian Forest Cat enjoys being with people and other pets and is excellent with children. They are very patient animals and are not stressed easily. They are fairly intelligent and have a natural curiosity.
If you are looking for a cat that will be your best friend, then the Norwegian Forest Cat is the cat for you. Keeping your cat indoors and neutering or spaying are essential elements for maintaining a healthy companion, and most importantly will extend the life expectancy of your cat.
